EPT Kiev Replaces EPT Moscow
Yes, you heard it right….the inaugural European Poker Tour (EPT) event in Moscow, Russia has been canceled. The EPT season 6 will now begin in Kiev, Ukraine for a €5,000 buy-in tournament on August 18th, Sports Palace Kiev being the host venue.

The qualified players of EPT Moscow travel package from PokerStars will be able to exchange their seat and hotel stay for the Kiev event. The Players can also get credit or collect cash for any other EPT event. Also, if you travel for less than 90 days to Ukraine, you do not require visa as required while visiting Russia.
This is the first time EPT event is being held in Ukraine and will be the biggest event ever held in Ukraine.The reason behind this change, as stated by Pokerstars, is the recent closure of all casinos in Russia.
